Our Philosophy
Small moments.
Lasting Impact.
People are more than their circumstances, job titles or challenges.
Everyone brings their own strengths, stories, experiences and possibilities. And the way we show up for each other is essential.
At Recovery Coach Academy, meaningful change can begin with curiosity and listening to understand. Imagine a world where...
1
Someone feels heard.
A moment of genuine attention makes space for someone to feel understood.
2
Something Shifts.
A fresh perspective, a question or a little courage can open something new.
3
Impact Continues.
That experience may influence another conversation, relationship, family or workplace.
Where we Began
Many Roots. Built for People.
Recovery Coach Academy grew from more than one story. As a mother-and-daughter team, Naetha and Calliese brought together decades of personal, professional and business experience.
Our roots span intergenerational family life, different cultures and countries, and experience across hospitality, management, customer service, business development, education, coaching, counselling and addiction recovery.
Together, this wealth of knowledge, skills and experience continues to shape how we connect with people, approach challenges, adapt and create opportunities, across families, workplaces, education, communities and organisations around the world.
Our roots are not a limit. They're the foundation we build on.

More than a nice idea
How we do the work is part of the work.
What keeps us grounded
Five values,
One way of showing up.

Respect
See the person. Honour their choice and autonomy.

Integrity
Do what you say you will.

Gratitude
Notice and value others' contributions.

Honesty
Tell the truth, even when it's hard.

Transparency
Be clear about our intentions and choices.
At Recovery Coach Academy, we strive to do what is R.I.G.H.T. Our values guide how we lead, work, make decisions and navigate difficult moments.
The Recovery Coach Academy PROMISE
Seven letters.
One PROMISE.
Seven simple principles. A lifetime of ways to put them into practice.
P
Presence
Giving our attention to the people and moments that matter.
In practice: Put aside distractions. Listen for what matters to the person in front of you.
R
Responsibility
Honouring trust, respecting boundaries and bringing care, knowledge and judgement to what we do.
In practice: Recognise your influence. Know your role, stay in your lane and follow through on commitments.
O
Openness
Being curious about ourselves and others, and willing to learn and grow.
In practice: Ask another question before assuming we already know the answer.
M
Mending
Acknowledging when we fall short and making things right where possible.
